Superfast Portsmouth Digital Workshop (May 12 from 10am until 1pm at Langstone)
Langstone Technology Park has teamed up with Barclays to offer businesses the opportunity to enhance their digital knowhow, giving participants a better understanding of the online and global marketplace, cybersecurity and the latest apps.
GetSet Finance Expo (May 19 from 9.30am until 2pm at Langstone)
This event covers the finance tools needed to grow a business, involving local experts in investment, asset finance, loans, grants, ecommerce, peer-to-peer lending, venture capital, crowdfunding, alternative finance, and research and development tax credits. Presentations will be given by expert keynote speakers and business owners can attend drop-in sessions and one-to-ones with local finance companies.
Power of Persistence Breakfast Networking Event (June 8 from 8am until 10pm at Langstone)
Global adventurer James Ketchell will be speaking about his upcoming attempt to single-handedly row around Great Britain to raise money for Over The Wall at this breakfast event organised by ICT services provider and Langstone tenant Fasset Technologies. It will focus on staying positive and achieving business goals, allowing attendees plenty of time to network with other local businesses.
Fund Raising and Activities:
Heels and Wheels (May 15 from 11 am at Staunton Country Park)
Heels and Wheels is an event for women that involves a seven-kilometre bike ride, a five-mile run and a second seven-kilometre bike ride across acres of stunning countryside. Entrants of all abilities are welcome and there is a Half Heels and Wheels event for children. As well as encouraging tenants to stay fit, Langstone is hoping participants will use the event to raise money for Over The Wall.
Wear Orange Day and Cake Sale (May 27 at Langstone)
Langstone is encouraging tenants to wear orange on May 27 to raise money for onsite children’s charity Over The Wall. There will also be a cake sale, with donations taken for the charity to help children with serious illnesses.
The Hayling Billy Five-Mile Race (June 15 from 7.15pm at the Hayling Billy Trail)
This event encourages tenants to raise money for Over The Wall by running five miles along the incredibly scenic Hayling Billy Trail.
Charity Skydive (September 3 in Salisbury)
Langstone tenants have the opportunity to participate in a skydive to raise funds for Over The Wall. This is a great chance for staff to challenge themselves, do their bit for charity and meet other Langstone-based businesses.
