The Langstone Lovelies Want Your Money Created on 06/07/2011 10:12:00
A four-strong team of women from Fasset, the facilities management company behind Langstone Technology Park in Havant, are taking part in the Portsmouth ‘Race for Life’ and they want your money!
The girls are currently training hard for the 10km challenge taking place on Sunday 24th July 2011 in Portsmouth and hope to between them raise in excess of £500 for Cancer Research UK.
The Race for Life is Cancer Research UK's flagship event that has grown to become the UK's largest women-only fundraising event. Cancer Research lead the world in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and so events like this are really important to raise much needed funds and general awareness of the importance of their work.
The team consists of: (left to right) Debbie Jenkins - HR Manager, Emma Bray – Business Excellence Co-ordinator, Shirley Cuthbertson – Business Excellence Manager, Susi Whitehill – Head of Customer Service Delivery Teams.
By sponsoring the Fasset team people can help others survive cancer.
Emma Bray from the team comments: “There are not many people who have not been affected in some way by cancer and that’s why events like this one are so important. The sponsorship we raise will help to make a real difference to lives and we are all up for the challenge.”
Donating through the Race for Life website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor them - Cancer Research UK will receive the money faster and at least an extra 25% in tax will be added to the gift if the donator is a UK taxpayer and if they tick the Gift Aid box.
