Langstone Technology Park hosts Chamber of Commerce Event

Langstone Technology Park has played host to a networking event involving nearly 150 businessmen and women in and around Portsmouth.

The Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Chamber of Commerce arm of Hampshire Chambers, the independent voice of business with 4,500 members in the county, held the ‘Meet the Chamber’ gathering at the thriving 40-acre site for current and new joiners.

Fasset, which operates the business park, used the opportunity to showcase a wide range of facilities, including competitively-priced serviced office suites for start-ups and home workers looking to take the next step to fully managed office space, data centres and warehousing for corporates.

Companies who occupy the site include internet recruitment specialist Jobsite, electronics group Hitachi and telecoms giant AT&T.

Martyn Randell, Fasset’s Customer Service Delivery Team Manager, highlighted the newly-launched serviced business suites at Langstone Technology Park where 3,000 people work for 25 companies on-site. The Business Suites are suitable for 1 to 30 work stations and are available as part of a all inclusive package. The Suites were recently opened by BBC South Today presenter Sally Taylor.

Occupiers also have access to all the centralised facilities, such as the restaurant, occupational health, the gym and free car parking.

Martyn said: “This was a great opportunity to highlight the work Fasset does in providing best-in-class business space, and we were delighted to team up with the Chamber, of which we are a proud member.”

The local Chamber, which itself has 2,000 members employing 100,000 people between them in and around Portsmouth and South East Hampshire, used the event, held at the park’s restaurant due to sheer size of numbers, to introduce 25 new members.

Each new member, ranging from acupuncturists to wine merchants, had 20 seconds each in the Chamber’s ‘elevator pitch’ to sell their services.

Maureen Frost, Chief Executive of The Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Chamber of Commerce arm of Hampshire Chambers, said: “Fasset provided an excellent venue for our latest event, and exemplifies the strong partnerships we have with members.”
